ADALYA specializes in, and has vast experience with, coordinating between the different players in the PT ecosystem. We don’t develop or directly characterize technological systems. The processes we lead are broader and often far more complex.
Our role is to guide the research, understand the constraints, and facilitate coordination between all relevant players. Starting from the passengers' needs, as defined by the metropolitan authority or the government, up to the technological capability of the operators tasked with implementing new systems.
The process here is sometimes more critical than the system itself. Some things must not fail at launch. That is why pilots, gradual launches, backup plans, time coordination, and protocols are required. This is our expertise – leading and managing all participants toward a shared goal.
ADALYA’s policy team played a central role in introducing a nationwide unified ticketing system. This required building an interoperable framework that enables seamless information sharing between multiple train and bus operators, along with mechanisms for revenue allocation and settlement across various ticket types and discount schemes.
From validation devices on buses to mobile apps and central collection servers, all components had to function in sync to ensure a smooth and consistent passenger experience.
The public transportation timetable is a dynamic system. While each operator is responsible for its own area, the network as a whole must speak a unified language so that passengers can understand and navigate it with ease. At ADALYA, we helped design and implement the processes needed to manage and communicate service changes, including integration with licensing systems, GTFS updates, and public information platforms.
